The review of the workshop’s program

Shkadnyuk S. I live in Chernihiv.

I like the workshop very much. Sorry but I was only at one WS where we talked about communication. At this WS we were told how to communicate with a person and how listening to a person.

When communicating you should look in the eyes of your companion, try to understand what he\she wants to say, how he\she behaves during communication, what kind of gestures he\she uses and what are they about.

Thanks for these workshops. Thanks for “Aratta”, who organized these classes for us.

Krat L.P. The refugee from Donetsk

I want to ask you to continue the workshops in “Aratta”. I am very happy with these classes. These WSs helped me in my privacy. At these seminars I learnt a lot of useful and good. I ask you to continue the workshops.

Holodnyuk V.S. The refugee from Slovyansk

Accordance to the circumstances that are in our country I and my family were forced to leave Slovyansk, Donetsk region. Charity organization “Aratta” helped us to adapt in new place. They helped not only in material way but they gave us psychological help. In particular, we liked the program of the WSs “How to communicate” most of all. I learn a lot of new and I’d like to participate in new program of WSs. I want to thank for “Aratta” once more.

Levitskaya I.A.The refugee from Donetsk

It is very necessary”thing”.

I wasn’t present at all the workshops and I regret about it. Many of that I have heard at these classes I use in everyday life. In some cases it really helped. At that moment this help is necessary for my family. Thanks for people who had organized these workshops. Special thanks for our coach. Please, organize a new course!!!

Hyzhnyak Elena.The refugee from Luhansk

I like the program a lot but it’s a pity that I hadn’t an opportunity to attend all the workshops. I’d like program’s continuation and repeating of some very important themes. This program was very useful, effective and just in time for me.

Great thanks for the organizes.

On behalf of my friends, with whom we assisted to people who got into a difficult situation even before war Luhansk, we express our sincere gratitude to Chernihiv Region Charitable Organization “Aratta” and personally to Director of the organization – Victoria Filatova, to Marina V. Konovalchuk – a Ph.D. of Chernihiv Teachers Training University, a psychology involved in the project “United Ukraine”. We also thank the donors of the project – the Foundation “ProForKids” represented by Barbara and Klaus Eckardt.

Thank you for your attention and help which you paid to the refugees from ATO zone, especially for the psychological help.

As a person who lived in the occupied territories and who was not once under the shelling and used to watch Russian TV I can say that every refugee needs a psychological help.

I consider that the efforts of the psychologists should be directed to solve these kinds of problems:

1. Elimination of the consequences of stress (taking out a person from the state of stress). As its known stresses fraught with neurosis, psychosomatic illnesses, and confusion of person’s life.

2. Elimination of the consequences of zombification of the population of Donbas, made by Russia.

3. Help with the integration of the refugees into Ukrainian society.

It’ a pity that there are some big obstacles in solving these difficult tasks:

- there is no culture of addressing a psychologist in our country,

- there is no understanding of the importance and the necessity of their work,

- and there are some mentality peculiarities of the residents of Donbas, their fears are inspired by the Russian propaganda.

That’s why the priority should be to conduct a vast outreach work showing the importance and the necessity of the psychological work among the refugees.

At the moment a new category of citizens of Ukraine who need a psychological help appeared. They are the military men coming from the war zone for demobilization or for a vacation. Now there is a lot of talks about the psychological help for them.

I used to help military men who returned from the war in Afghanistan many years ago. Even in twenty years some of them still feel the consequences of the war stress which lead them to the bottom of their lives.

The psychologists have a lot of work now. And I hope for further cooperation.
