I'm Shuruta Tatiana.

I'm Shuruta Tatiana, born in 1980; I'm disabled since birth, a mother of many children, single mother of children.

In this difficult time when our government, at all levels, is thinking about its own welfare. It is very hard to survive for such families like mine. Chernihiv Region Charity "Aratta" was created in 1998. Those years were very difficult. My mother also has many children. Aratta supported our family very much. Lots of institutions didn't work for a long time; they didn't pay any wages for six months. People with many children and children with disabilities were in despair. "Aratta" was created to help such families. Strange people from England, Holland and Denmark, as well as the founders of the organization became as close relatives for us. The families which are under care of the organization, as if “infected” with charity work. They began to help other families. Clothing, footwear, which was still good, is passed to each other. Director of the organization - Victoria Filatova is very wise, kind, sympathetic and decent woman. She spends her own time trying to visit every family, to see how they live, and even to help with some advice. She visited my family with English, Dutch and Dutch people. People wonder how it is possible, that the government does not care about its own citizens. I and my children get help with clothing, footwear, food and detergents. My eldest son Alexander, with the help of "Aratta" visited Denmark. With my tiny income I would never be able to send him there. All my children regularly visit youth theater, Puppet Theater for free, thanks to "Aratta". Every winter, my older sons attend pool for free. Children enjoy visiting clubs. Thanks to "Aratta" our family got a computer, a sewing machine, which I myself with my pension could not buy. In my family there was a great tragedy – the house went on fire; "Aratta" was the first who came to help. We were given bedding, clothes and some furniture, pottery and building materials (paint, whitewash, wallpaper). Vitaliy Kravchenko, God rest his soul, he brought everything by his own car to my house - kind-hearted man. Everyone who comes to "Aratta" was always met with a smile and a word of support from him. He spends his time and his health for the people. Eternal memory! Sometimes was such impression, that Vitaliy with his wife Svitlana were spending more time in "Aratta" ward families than their home. We had lots of moments when warm and emotional conversations helped, good advice of wonderful people, kind and selfless - a Zhadan family, Vasiliy and his wife - Lyudmila.

Every holiday my kids are waiting for something. They know that "Aratta" always remembers us. For each holiday I and my children receive gifts. They also organize some concerts, festive performances, humanitarian fairs. All employees of "Aratta" are kind, compassionate people and I am grateful to them for their support of my family.

Ask what "Aratta" means to me!? I answer, "Aratta" for me and my family is confidence in the future.
