Short description of the event:

06-08 September 2013 in the village Kobleve a workshop on Training of Trainers for the prevention of drug addiction, HIV / AIDS and crime among adolescents "Evidence-based prevention of drug abuse, HIV / AIDS and crime” was held." The event was attended by 14 participants, including two coaches, three representatives of education and nine future trainers of prevention. Duration of the workshop - 20 hours. It included ten subjects during the opening the participants got acquainted with the theory and practical skills gained to conduct studies with children.

Its goal is to provide prevention programs "Choice" in three schools in Odessa. It will take into account the experience of the program in schools in Chernihiv.

The impact of the event:

Due to the seminar prepared nine coaches from the primary prevention of drug abuse, HIV / AIDS and crime, and organized communication between coaches and school administration. Future coaches have had a chance to get acquainted with the basics of evidence-based prevention and other theoretical components, and get some practical skills. The effectiveness measure confirmed by a survey that was conducted three times during the workshop. Participants learned:

• Principles of evidence-based prevention;

• Theories of prevention;

• Risk factors and protection;

• Interactive learning;

• Academic Regulations.
