Concert on the St. Valentine’s Day

February the 12 St. Valentine’s Day festive concert for youth with special needs was held at the “Aratta” Centre. The facilitators of this performance were the leader of English learning club Julia Breus and leader of “Adept” club, Regina Gusak together with the volunteers from lyceum № 22. The concert included contests and quests which were rousing bursts of emotions, laughter and positive feelings. Near 20 children were invited to this festive.

First the participants told about customs and rites related to this day in general. Afterword they had the opportunity to check their knowledge of the history of the holiday during the “Do you know that..?” quiz. It made both the spectators and active participants to remember the customs of St. Valentines Day celebration. There were very funny contests “Straw and water” “Feed each other”, “Compliments contest” and “puzzle” which encouraged the children to be active, attentive, joyful and witty as well as to overcome shyness and to grant complements to each other.

At the end of the festivity everyone got “valentines” from the other participants of the event. The volunteers from lyceum № 22 arranged sweets for all the participants. In addition to positive emotions all the children received interesting and usable gifts.
