There are no Borders for Mercy
(an
interview with Shvetsova Natalia Olegivna – the mother from a family
under care of “Aratta”)
- Nataliya Olegivna, good afternoon! Tell me please about your
cooperation with “Aratta”, how long this organization helps you and
in what way?
- I am grateful that I have great opportunity to know “Aratta”. Our
family consists of 8 members and it is hard to provide our children
with everything that they need for education and entertainment.
“Aratta” gave a possibility to my children to realize their
abilities, to demonstrate it at different concerts, to use necessary
things in everyday life, such as: computer, CD-player, home
equipment. The organization gives us humanitarian aid 4 times a year,
provides us with food – once a year, we receive mattresses, beds,
washing machine.
- Nataliya Olegivna, you mentioned about possibility for your
children to realize their creative abilities, what did you mean?
- I have a son – Vladislav, he is 13 years old, he adore
break-dancing. He danced and sang at the city Festival at the Palace
of culture. As a result he got DVD-player and a teddy bear.
Vladislav took the 1 place at dancing and the 2 place at singing. I
am glad and proud of my son! It is wonderful that he got a chance to
demonstrate his talents.
- What do your children like to do? Do they go to the clubs of
“Aratta” on weekends?
- In general, everyone is unique, has his own abilities, but it is
not always possible to find and to show your talent. Our family
helps to recognize abilities in every child. For example, Olexandr,
who is 9 years old, likes to sign, to tell poems. Nazar, he is 5
years old also demonstrates creative abilities. Olexandr attended
the club at “Aratta” – “School preparation” some years ago, he got a
lot of useful information and got a rucksack with stationary for
school.
- Nataliya Olegivna, as we have understood your children are active
participants at events, organized by “Aratta” and how do your
children spend their summer holidays? Have they ever been at camps
on the bank of Desna river or in other places?
- Yes, of course, we always visit summer camps, but as a rule the
bigger part of summer we spend in the village, that’s why it is not
possible to accept invitation every time. Earlier, two of my
children went to the Black sea in Sergiivka, Odessa region. We visit
with pleasure all events that are held in Chernihiv and Chernihiv
region.
I am thankful for all the help that we receive from the members of
organization, from Filatova Viktoriya Oleksiivna, because everything
that you do for us is a great support and hope for the best times!
