Drama studio “Dyvosad” prepared a performance “Petryk’s adventures” for St. Nicholas Day. It is based on the play of a Ukrainian playwright Dina Lytvyn. This is a story of a modern teenager, the story of love and faithfulness, an eternal theme of struggle between material and spiritual aspects in human consciousness. Unfortunately, sometimes love and conscience awake only when something very bad happens. But this time we had a happy end. Could it be other way if you truly believe in miracles?
The leading part was brilliantly performed by Petro Komzel, a boy who has Dawn’s syndrome. By the way it was his début. But everyone was great: fair and touching Love (Valeria Shkolnaya) and Conscience (Karyna Sychova) on their wheelchairs, angels (Maryna Shturmarevych and Sergiy Indach), true mother (Alla Solokha) and father (Yuriy Kurjat),

funny imp Antypko (Oleg Polosmak), charming puppy (Anastasia Spetsar) and naturally – Saint Nicholas (Vladyslav Yermachenkov). Actors, among whom young people with special needs, put sincere feelings into their parts which touched the hearts of the audience. Nobody hurried to leave after the performance - everyone wanted to feel the holiday atmosphere created by this remarkable group. We hope that after Pisnya Iryna becoming a new director of this drama studio (she directed “Petrik’s adventures”) such holidays will be more frequent.
The premiere took place on the stage of M.Kotsyubynskiy Museum on the 17th of December 2010. We express our thanks to the museum that was traditionally hospitable to our little group.
We also express our gratitude to Chernihiv Region Administartion of Family and Youth for providing sweet presents and also to our regular sponsors – bakery “Nasha bulochka” and “Tabeya” mission for presents to the actors and the audience.
