“Arattas Venner” in Ukraine

In return to working visit of Ukrainian volunteers to Denmark (October, 5-9, 2007), we had a pleasure to receive here a team from Charitable Association “Arattas Venner”, Horsens, Lund. This Association has been existing for 2 years already, and it has been providing sponsorship for all this time to people under Aratta’s care in the form of payment of costs for Holidays in Denmark for children from needy families as well as different presents for those children, humanitarian aid for needy families in Chernihiv region, office equipment for Aratta’s Public Centre and Warehouse to make work there more efficient.

The group from Denmark was composed of:
1. Susanne Preisler – the Head of organization
2. Lars Preisler – a volunteer, a sponsor and Susanne’s husband
3. Jorn Stelmach Sorensen – an accountant of the organization
4. Vivian Stelmach Sorensen – an office manager of the organization
5. Maria Stelmach Sorensen – a volunteer, Jorn and Vivian’s daughter.

It was the first visit of the delegation from Charitable Association “Arattas Venner” to Ukraine and to our organization. The goal of the visit was to take a close look at problems and needs of Ukrainian families, to plan further activity of the organization more efficiently. The members of Dutch Association met children who visited Denmark for the Holidays in 2005-2007. Children had a chance to express their gratitude for the good works of these people, they shared their impressions about that trip, and how it has influenced their further life. In addition volunteers from Denmark got acquainted with the activity of Aratta, met members of the organization, visited Aratta’s branches in Schors and Mokoshino, Mena district, had a sight-seeing tour of the city historical places.
