New Year holiday in “ARATTA”

Children, who attend the groups at Chernihiv Region Charity “ARATTA”, waited for the New Year’s holiday and at last they came. On January 12th, 2007 children from families supported by “Aratta” were invited to visit the New Year’s tree, as well as the deputy chairman of administration, Volodymyr Tandura, and of course our dear friends from Great Britain Tony Budell and Patsy Bates. These children and children from the groups were given about 400 packets of sweets. We are grateful for Ivan Bespalov’s generosity and the presents given to the children and collaborators of the firm “Self”, for the care of the children from needy families and handicapped children. Children from the groups demonstrated their skills at the holiday. They appeared in a hall accompanied by two angels. When angels took away the dark shawl, the audience saw girls with festive hairstyles. Iryna Pesnya and Maryna Demchenko are the leaders of the group called “Hairdresser”, and they styled the girls’ hair themselves. Girls and boys from this group made the decorations by themselves. The group of English presented a dance and a play to the audience. The “cherry on top” of the New Year’s program was a song about a doll, which was performed by the charming young actress Katya Mirina. The holiday concluded with Father Christmas handing out gifts.
